Barton Moves to 8-man in 08/26/2026

The Barton School District announced Wednesday that they Senior High Football

program is working to transition to 8-Man Football for this season.  The decision was made due to not having enough available athletes to safely field an 11 man team.  alized

According to the announcement, this change is for the 2026 season only and that the Junior High program will remain at 11 man football.

The Barton coaching staff and administration are currently working to develop an 8-man schedule and that the previously released Senior High schedule is no longer current.

Homecoming activities are still scheduled for next week and additional information regarding Homecoming activities will be shared as soon as they are finalized.
