The MSAIS has named Ellie Hughes of Forrest City and Lee Academy as the 1A Girls track athlete of the year.  Ellie brought home gold medals in the recent State Championship meet in Jackson Mississippi in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 400 meters races plus the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relays.  She won a Silver medal in the 4 x 400 relay.  Ellie had a sesons best of 12.95 seconds in the 100 meters, 27.30 in the 200 hundred meters and 1 minute and 1 second in the 400 meters.  Ellie Hughes is the daughter of Adam and Lindsey Hughes of Forrest City and the Grandaughter of Gary and Terri Hughes of Caldwell, Crystal Adams of Conway, and the late Anthony Reniger.  Congratulations to Ellie Hughes.
