RAG DOLL MAKING

JANUARY 22

Delta Heritage State Park wants to take you back to a period in time when rag dolls were made with left over materials from homemade clothes, worn out items, and things they had on hand. They would transform these items into toys to play with and memories were made. If you would like to learn more about this period in time and make a toy with your child, accompany them on Saturday, January 22 from 1pm till 1:45pm at the visitor center of Delta Heritage State Park. Admission is $2.00 to help with cost of materials.

Little Texas will be performing at EACC Fine Arts Center on January 22, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. They are an iconic Country Classic Rock bank. WINTER WILDLIFE SCAVENGER HUNT

Mississippi River State Park will host a Winter Wildlife Scavenger Hunt January 22.  You stop by the vistior center to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet to find various animals and learn how they spend winters in and around Mississippi River State Park.

DRIVER'S TESTING AT TROOP D

Arkansas State Police Troop D driver's testing for Skills will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The written exam will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information call 870-633-1454. You will need an original copy of your birth certificate and also a photo ID. You can purchase a photo ID for $5 at the Revenue Office, this is just an option, and NOT something you have to do. Either way you MUST have a photo ID.

TRANSPORTATION FOR VETS

MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY

The Disabled Arkansas Veterans is providing transportation to area veterans from St. Francis County to the VA in Little Rock. The van will pick up veterans every Monday and Wednesday at the Shell station on Holiday Drive in Forrest City at 7:05 a.m. and the Love's truck stop in Palestine at around 7:10 a.m. To reserve a spot or get more information please call 870-932-1052.

OUTREACH PROGRAM

Classes for an Arkansas Driver's License are held each Thursday at the Lee County Courthouse. The driving portion is at 9 a.m., and the written exam is given at 1:00 p.m.
