EACC Entertainment Season Packages on Sale

Season Packages as well as individual tickets to see LeAnn Rimes are on sale now to the public. The 2024-25 entertainment season at East Arkansas Community College has been announced and season starts with LEANN RIMES on September 21st. That will be followed by THE ISAACS on November 9th, LONESTAR on January 25th, KOOL & THE GANG on Saturday March 15th, and the season finale will be Saturday, April 12th when ZZ TOP comes to the Fine Art Center. Season Packages go on sale today, Monday, August 26th to the public. Complete ticket information is available at eacc.edu
Halloween Costume Drive

Going on now through October 11th is a Halloween costume drive. Please donate new or gently used Halloween costumes of all sizes so all children in our community can have a Halloween costume. You can drop them off at the First United Methodist Church office located at 620 E. Broadway in Forrest City, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm or the First Baptist Church office on the corner of Grant and Cleveland in Forrest City, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm through Friday, October 11th. On Saturday, October 12th anyone in need of a costume can go to either church location and pick out a costume. Prostate Cancer Screening

Together We Foster’s 3rd Annual Better Together Benefit will take place Saturday, September 7th 5:00 pm at The Crossing located @ 101 South Pruett Street, Paragould, AR 72450. The 2024 Crowley’s Ridge Saddle Club Charity PRCA Rodeo will be September 13th and 14th at the Wiley T. Jones Fairgrounds. Gates will open at 6:30 pm and rodeo will begin @ 7:00 pm. This year’s rodeo clown will be T.J. Williams and there will be a free concert each night immediately following the rodeo featuring Wyatt Putman. Photographic Exhibit at Delta Cultural Center

The Delta Cultural Center will host a new exhibition from July 26 to September 13, 2024, titled Mr. Pruitt’s Possum Town: Photographing Trouble and Resilience in the American South in the central gallery at the DCC Visitor Center located at 141 Cherry Street in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Built around the collection of photographer Otis Noel Pruitt, the exhibition explores race relations and issues of class, gender, and religion. Record Sealing Clinic

Legal Aid of Arkansas will conduct a free Record Sealing Clinic, Saturday, September 14th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Arkansas Community College in Forrest City.

The 2024 Forrest City Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet and Game will be held on Friday, September 20th. Run to the Park

The 2nd annual " Run to the Park" 5k race will be held October 12th at 8 am. in Colt. The race is a fundraiser to help buy new playground equipment for the city park in Colt.
