Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas to Host USDA Food Distributions in St. Francis County

The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host multiple USDA food distributions in S.t Francis County on Thursday, April 17th at the Larry S. Bryant Wellness Center from 8:00 am until 10:00 am, at the Palestine City Hall from 9:00 am until 11:00 am and at the Wheatley City Hall from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. If food runs out before ending time then distribution will end then. Households are eligible to receive USDA foods once per month and must reside in St. Francis County. Recipients must meet the income guidelines that have been set for The Emergency Food Assistance Program. UA-EACC will host Community Open House

The University of Arkansas-East Arkansas Community College will host a Community Open House on Thursday, April 17th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the EACC Fine Arts Center. The public is invited to attend. The event will also provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about opportunities through the college’s new affiliation with the University of Arkansas including the UA-Fayetteville transfer scholarship, upcoming bachelor’s degrees, 2+2 transfer agreements, and more. Monroe County master Gardeners 10th Annual Plant Sale

The Monroe County Master Gardeners 10th Annual Plant Sale will be on Saturday, April 26th from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. The sale will be at the Central Delta Depot Museum Park located at 100 West Cypress Street (next to the Lowe’s Bridal Shop) in Brinkley. There will again be a variety of shrubs, vegetables and flowers for sale. Super Soil, a nutrient-rich soil made in Arkansas from compost and organic matter, will be for sale as well. The Arts Council’s 40th Anniversary of Mary Anne’s Art Walk will be Saturday, April 26th starting at 2:00 PM. Stroll through stunning art exhibits and enjoy local talent while music plays at the Splashpad. Artists will be in 10 buildings and businesses. Make your way to all to be entered into a drawing for door prizes at the Merriman after the walk. There will also be a food vendors, beverage tents, crawfish sales and local Pop-Up shops. Ticket proceeds go to promote the Arts in Wynne and Cross County Schools.
