Just a reminder that there are things to do at the Mississippi State Park. The Visitor Center including exhibit hall and gift shop are open Wednesday-Sunday from 8am - 5pm. Bike rentals are open 8am-4:30pm each day. They can take reservations and payment over the phone. They are now selling worms for fishing. Swim beaches are closed at this time. RV and tent camping are open at Beech Point and Lone Pine campgrounds, Storm Creek Campground is temporarily closed due to construction. The paillion and multi-purpose room are open with limitations. KIDS FISHING DERBY AT VILLAGE CREEK STATE PARK

On Saturday, April 17, Village Creek State Park will host a fishing derby for children ages 15 and under at the pond on 1 East of The Ridges at Village Creek. For parking, turn left at the visitor center and follow the signs. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. Fishing will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded immediately after the event. Participants need to bring their own poles and bait. GOLF CART SAFARIS AT VILLAGE CREEK STATE PARK

Golf Cart Safaris are back at Village Creek State Park and scheduled for Saturday, March 27th and Saturday, April 24th. There will be a fee of $10 per adult and $5 per child age 10 and under.
