Juneteenth Festivities Continue in FC

FCA Juneteenth Committee has announced the official event lineup for the Forrest City Area Juneteenth 2026 celebration. Anchored by the theme "Freedom Was Delayed, But Never Denied," the multi-day commemoration will continue with a Community Awards Ceremony on June 14. The celebration culminates with the Juneteenth Parade & Day Celebration on Friday, June 19, followed by the Juneteenth Cook Off & Family Day Festival on Saturday, June 20. This annual series of events aims to bring the regional community together under the mission of celebrating freedom, honoring legacy, and strengthening community.

 

Big Poppa Bubble- Cross County Library

The Cross County Library is set to host a spectacular afternoon of family fun as the highly anticipated Big Poppa Bubble show returns on Friday, June 12, at 2:00 p.m. Located at 410 E. Merriman Avenue in Wynne, this free community event promises an enchanting, high-energy performance featuring massive, gravity-defying bubbles and interactive entertainment perfect for all ages. Don't miss out on this fantastic summer program—be sure to arrive early to secure a great spot for the show!

 

Ride for the Ranch

June 13

The 14th Annual Ride for the Ranch Poker Run is set to take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, starting and ending at the VFW Post 4449 parking lot in Marianna. Benefiting the Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, the event features a scenic, 100+ mile ride through the Delta, with registration opening at 9:00 AM, the first bike heading out at 10:00 AM, and all participants expected back by 4:00 PM. Registration costs $35 in advance or $40 on the day of the event, which includes an arm band for the poker run, live music, auction entry, and a t-shirt. The community is invited to enjoy a full day of festivities, including a 50/50 drawing, cornhole from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, a 5:00 PM auction, and a $100 prize for the best poker hand. The public is also welcome to attend the evening entertainment featuring live music by Gopher Broke starting at 9:00 PM, with a $15 cover or plate fee applying to those without an event arm band.

 

Salem MB Church VBS

June 15-19

Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Forrest City has announced it will host its annual Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19. The daily program will run each morning from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., offering local children and families a dedicated week of spiritual education, community fellowship, and engaging activities. Bethel Baptist Church VBS

June 15-19

Bethel Baptist Church, located at 1025 N. Izard Street behind the "A Rare Find" thrift store in Forrest City, invites the community to its upcoming Vacation Bible School next week. Running from Monday, June 15 through Thursday, June 18, the nightly sessions will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Children from kindergarten through sixth grade are welcome to join in the fun, faith, and fellowship, and a complimentary meal will be provided for all participating children each evening.

 

Women in Transition to Glory Workshop

Women in Transition to Glory Services, Inc. invites the community to its Annual Men’s and Women’s Workshop and Luncheon on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Woodruff Electric Community Room from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no registration fee to attend. Community Food and Clothing Give-A-Way

The Roebuck Project Blessing Box has announced a community giveaway event scheduled for Saturday, June 13, aimed at providing essential support to local residents. The event will take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Church of God, located at 201 N Division St. in Forrest City. Organizers will have a variety of food and clothing items available free of charge for those in need, furthering the project’s mission of neighbors helping neighbors. All members of the community are welcome to attend, donate, or volunteer to help.

 

Food Bank of NEA- SFC Distributions

June 18

The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will hold multiple USDA food distributions in St. Francis County on Thursday, June 18. Distributions will take place from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Larry S. Bryant Wellness Center & Sports Complex in Forrest City, and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palestine City Hall. To qualify, recipients must be residents of St. Francis County. Stanley Grove Revival

June 22-25

Stanley Grove Baptist Church, located in Caldwell, will host a series of nightly revival services from Monday, June 22, through Thursday, June 25, 2026. Services are scheduled to begin each evening at 6:00 PM and will feature Reverend Jerry Guyton serving as the guest evangelist. Throughout the week, the revival will welcome fellowship from several guest congregations, including Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, Riverside Church, Salem Missionary Baptist Church, and Stanley Grove Baptist Church. members. The public is warmly invited to attend these evenings of spiritual renewal and community worship.

 

Red Cross Blood Drive- Marianna FBC

June 26

A community blood drive as part of the “Marianna Battle of the Badges” will be held Friday, June 26th, from 12-4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center at 47 West Main Street in Marianna. Storyteller’s Bag

ABC Preschool Continues Open Admission

The ABC Preschool at Lincoln in Forrest City is currently accepting applications for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Parents and guardians looking to enroll their children can pick up and submit application packets Monday through Friday at the preschool, located at 149 North Water Street.
