EACC Announces Summer Schedule for Community Education Programs

The Community Education and Workforce Development programs at East Arkansas Community College have announced the Summer Schedule of classes for students of all ages. The schedule offers a wide variety of unique Kids on Campus programs and camps. The Personal Interests and Senior Sage (students aged 50+) classes for adults include many activities. The schedule for Professional Development classes includes Healthcare Provider CPR intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a variety of settings. 2023 Small Works on Paper Traveling Exhibition

The Arkansas Arts Council's 2023 Small Works on Paper touring exhibition will open Friday, June 2 at the Delta Cultural Center, located at 141 Cherry St. in Helena.
The exhibition will be on display in the Visitor Center through Monday, July 31. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The opening reception will be Friday, June 2 at 5 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
2023 Forrest City Public Library Summer Reading Program

The Forrest City Public Library will once again have their Summer Reading Program. The program will be on Monday’s and Wednesday’s beginning at 10:00 am at the library for ages K-6th grade. 11th Annual Ride for the Ranch Poker Run

The Ride for the Ranch Poker Run benefiting Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranch will be held Saturday, June 10th. The ride begins and ends at VFW Post 4449 parking lot which is located at 295 S. Alabama in Marianna. The first bike will go out at 10:30 am and last bike will go out at 12:30 pm. No bike- no problem, there will be a cornhole tournament from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, good food and fun and the Live Wire Band will start performing at 9:00 pm. $100 Best Hand, 50/50 drawing, 100 + miles of Scenic Delta highway riding! Share Project Offering Free Health Screenings

Free wellness screening events will be available through the Supporting Health Advances for Rural Employees (SHARE) Project on Thursday, June 8th. The screenings will be located in the Ferguson Room at the Forrest City Civic Center, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. They will be conducted by clinical staff with the Lee County Cooperative Clinic. Anyone can participate in the screenings; no insurance information or preregistration will be needed.
Kids Fishing Derby
