VETERANS TREE OF LIGHTS IN PALESTINE

The Veterans Tree of Lights will be December 5th and 10th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Veterans Park in Palestine. Get pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus along with Cookies and Hot Cocoa.

DELTA TRADE DAYS CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA

Delta Trade Days Christmas Extravaganza is Saturday, December 10th from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Technology Center for The Delta in Wynne. There will be lots of vendors, food trucks, door prizes every hour, visit with Santa and Mr. Grinch and free activities for kids. Admission is $1.00, children 10 and under are free.

CHRISTMAS 2022 AT THE WILLIAM STONE HOUSE

Christmas 2022 at William Stone House in Colt will be Saturday, November 26th, Saturday December 3rd and Saturday December 10th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm all three days. Activities include a Children's Shopping Room, Mrs. Santa's Bake Shop, Handmade Crafts, Preserves & Jellies. Special visit from Santa on Saturday, December 10th from 10am to 1pm.

LEE COUNTY COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The 4th Annual Lee County Community Christmas Concert will be Sunday, December 11th @ 2PM at Lee High School Auditorium. This event is free of charge and features choirs, singers & instrumentalists from the community. Sponsored by the Marianna Rotary Club.

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE - MARIANNA

Mississippi River State Park and Marianna Regional Chamber of Commerce presents Christmas Open House, Sunday, December 11th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Activities include family crafts, visit with Santa, meet the Grinch, magical snowfall, hot chocolate, treats and view the Enchanted Forest. Admission is free.

W-O-M CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY

Widener Outreach Ministries will have their W-O-M Children's Christmas Giveaway " on Saturday, December 17, 2022, 12-4 pm for 125 local children ages 0-12. This event will be held at the Widener Community Center. Parents/guardians  must register the child on the link on the WOM Facebook page and must accompany the child at the event. 4-H BBQ FUNDRAISER

4-H members are having a BBQ Plate fundraiser to support their group activities. The event will take place on December 20th from 11am to 1pm and will be $10 a plate. Plates will include BBQ meat, buns, baked beans, and slaw. Pickup will be at the St. Francis County Extension Office. To purchase a ticket, see a 4-H member or come by the Extension office at 313 S. Izard St. Suite 14. Business delivery available for 10 plates or more. Pre-Sale Deadline is December 16.

SFC ELVES, INC. TOY PROJECT

The SFC ELVES, Inc. Toy Project is now underway. SFC Elves are asking that local residents to please keep this campaign in mind as the holiday season begins. Toys may be delivered to Southern Furniture, Beavers & Cline, St. Francis County Museum and the Forrest City Public Library. Monetary donations are also welcomed. DRIVER'S TESTING AT TROOP D

Arkansas State Police Troop D driver's testing for Skills will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The written exam will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information call 870-633-1454. You will need an original copy of your birth certificate and a photo ID. You can purchase a photo ID for $5 at the Revenue Office, this is just an option, and NOT something you have to do. Either way you MUST have a photo ID.

TRANSPORTATION FOR VETS

The Disabled Arkansas Veterans is providing transportation to area veterans from St. Francis County to the VA in Little Rock. The van will pick up veterans every Monday and Wednesday at the Shell station on Holiday Drive in Forrest City at 7:05 a.m. and the Love's truck stop in Palestine at around 7:10 a.m. To reserve a spot or get more information please call 870-932-1052.

OUTREACH PROGRAM

EVERY MONDAY NIGHT

The Oak Hill Church of God, 97 SFC 309, will host Monday Night Outreach each week, a free support group for people struggling with depression, grief, loneliness, or addiction. A complimentary meal is served at 5:30p.m., and the meeting starts at 6:30p.m. For more information, call 870-633-7331.

DRIVER'S LICENSE CLASSES

Classes for an Arkansas Driver's License are held each Thursday at the Lee County Courthouse. The driving portion is at 9 a.m., and the written exam is given at 1:00 p.m.
