The Mother's Day Out program at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City, is held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. This program is for Mother's who need a couple of hours to themselves or to run errands. THE DELTA DREAM FOOD PANTRY

The Delta Dream Food Pantry was established June of 2004 and has since been serving the residents of Lee County for almost 16yrs. The pantry serves over 250 families per month.The pantry provides 250 meals per week to the children of the Lee County school district to feed them over the weekend while out of school. Forrest City Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet 2020 will be held on Tuesday, February 18, at the EACC Fine Arts Center. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a Meet & Greet and a dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. Individual tickets are $30 and Corporation Sponsorships are $300, which includes 8 tickets, a reserved table, and listing in the program. On Saturday, February 22, join the interpreter for a hands-on, beginner class where you can weave your own basket to take home. The workshop starts at 8:30 a.m. and lasts until 4:00 p.m. or until everyone has finished their basket. The fee is $30 and covers the cost of all materials. MISSISSIPPI RIVER STATE PARK

On February 25. at 2 p.m., at the Bear Creek Loop Trailhead, there will be a Ridge Exploration Hike. Discover the unique habitat of Crowley's Ridge as we hike through the forest and see how the plant life changes from cottonwoods and sycamores near the creek beds at the bottom of the ridge to more tulip poplars and oaks at the top. This hike is mildly strenuous and 1-mile in length. Wear sturdy shoes and don't forget to bring water.

JAFC ANNUAL YARD SALE FUNDRAISER

The Junior Auxiliary of Forrest City (JAFC) is collecting gently used items for their Annual Yard Sale.  JAFC is currently collecting donated household items, gently used clothes, home décor, kitchen items, furniture and so much more. JAFC will use the donated items for their yard sale on Saturday, March 14th from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The yard sale will be held at the Campbell House at 305 N. Forrest Street in Forrest City. All proceeds will benefit the children of St. Francis County. Forrest City Landfill will give away free mulch on the first Saturday of every month, from 7:00 to noon, weather permitting.

Classes for an Arkansas Driver's License are held each Thursday at the Lee County Courthouse. The driving portion is at 9 a.m., and the written exam is given at 1:00 p.m.

Arkansas State Police Troop D driver's testing for Skills will be Monday, Wednesday, and  Friday at 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The written exam will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information call 870-633-1454. You will need an original copy of your birth certificate and also a photo ID. You can purchase a photo ID for $5 at the Revenue Office, this is just an option, NOT something you have to do.
