BBQ Fundraiser

There will be a BBQ Fundraiser for Jennifer and Gil Brazeale in honor of Trip Brazeale this Sunday, November 17th from 12:00 PM until food runs out at the St. Francis County Fairgrounds in Forrest City. $20 per plate. There will also be a gun raffle with raffle tickets going for $20 each or 6 for $100. Hope to see you there!

Memorial Fund and GoFundMe

A Memorial Fund has been set up for Tripp Brazeale at FNBEA and a GoFundMe to assist his parents Gil and Jennifer Brazeale with his final expenses. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!

 

Mister Rogers Neighborhood Sweater Drive

First United Methodist Youth Annual Smoked Turkey Fundraiser

The First United Methodist Youth will be selling the Church Smoked Turkeys this year. They are $35 each and can be ordered by calling the church @ 870-633-1094, filling out their form on google docs which is https://forms.gle/uLELLsQkZqEwEpFT7 OR they have a QR Code you can scan. Turkeys will be ready Friday, November 22nd.

 

2024 SFC Elves Toy Project

The SFC Elves 2024 Toy Project is now underway. Monetary donations and new or toys in working order and clean condition can be dropped off at Southern Furniture, Beavers & Cline Law Office, the St. Francis County Museum, the Forrest City Public Library or the First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas – North Washington Branch.  Last year over 650 needy children from the Forrest City/St. Francis County area benefitted from this project. Mississippi River State Park’s Annual Enchanted Forest

Sponsorship starting NOW

Mississippi River State Park invites everyone to celebrate the holiday season with its Annual Enchanted Forest, a holiday display lighting up the sidewalks around the Visitor Information Center from December 1-31, 2024. Local families, businesses, churches, and community groups are encouraged to join by sponsoring a tree to help create this festive experience starting now. The Enchanted Forest will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., giving visitors the chance to enjoy the decorated trees and seasonal atmosphere. Caring Touch Quilt Show & Sale

The Caring Touch Quilt Show will be Saturday, November 16th from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and Sunday, November 17th from Noon until 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church on North Rosser in Forrest City. The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will host a drive-thru USDA food distribution in St. Francis County on Thursday, November 21, from 8:00 am until 10:00 AM or until food runs out at the Larry S. Rumble on the Ridge

This year’s Rumble on the Ridge Basketball Tournament is fast approaching and will be held Wednesday, November 27th through Saturday, November 30th at the Dwight Lofton Mustang Arena in Forrest City. DRIVER'S TESTING AT TROOP D

Arkansas State Police Troop D driver's testing for Skills will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The written exam will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. For more information call 870-633-1454. You will need an original copy of your birth certificate and a photo ID. You can purchase a photo ID for $5 at the Revenue Office, this is just an option, and NOT something you have to do. Either way you MUST have a photo ID.

TRANSPORTATION FOR VETS

MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY

The Disabled Arkansas Veterans is providing transportation to area veterans from St. Francis County to the VA in Little Rock. The van will pick up veterans every Monday and Wednesday at the Shell station on Holiday Drive in Forrest City at 7:05 a.m. and the Love's truck stop in Palestine at around 7:10 a.m. To reserve a spot or get more information please call 870-932-1052.

OUTREACH PROGRAM

EVERY MONDAY NIGHT

The Oak Hill Church of God, 97 SFC 309, will host Monday Night Outreach each week, a free support group for people struggling with depression, grief, loneliness, or addiction. A complimentary meal is served at 5:30p.m., and the meeting starts at 6:30p.m. For more information, call 870-633-7331.

Classes for an Arkansas Driver's License are held each Thursday at the Lee County Courthouse. The driving portion is at 9 a.m., and the written exam is given at 1:00 p.m.
