Aubrey Community Yardsale

Aubrey City Hall, located in the yellow brick building at 106 Trailby Street next to Bennett Tractor Parts, will host a fundraiser yard sale for Spring Creek Cemetery from Wednesday, November 11, through Saturday, November 14. Sale hours are set for November 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., November 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and November 13 and 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a special 50% discount on all items between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the final day. Community members wishing to donate unneeded items can drop them off at Aubrey City Hall from November 8 to 10 between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., or contact Jessica by phone or text at 870-344-3026 starting October 26 to arrange a pickup.

Revival Redeeming Christian Spiritual Church

Redeeming Christian Spiritual Church #1 at 411 West Cross Street in Forrest City will hold a revival, Oct. 28-30, with services at 7:30 nightly. Guest speaker will be Bishop Theodis Cochran Jr. from Trinity All Nations Church in Memphis. Hosted by Pastor Barry Phillips and Elect Lady LaShanda Phillips.

 

Senior Center Fall Fest

The Forrest City Senior Center will host its annual Fall Festival on Thursday, October 29th, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Local seniors are invited to put on their best "Denim and Pearls" for a fun-filled day featuring hayrides, delicious food, and games. Absence Presence @ UAEACC Gallery

The UA EACC Gallery is hosting "Absence Presence," an exhibition by Palestine, Arkansas artist Alex Jumper, running through October 29th. The free exhibit features works that explore light, shadow, and transition, examining how loss and disappearance shape visual narrative through rich, layered tonal values. Forrest Street Halloween Parade

The City of Forrest City announces that the annual Forrest Street Parade will be held Saturday, Oct. 31st starting at 3 p.m. City approved barricades will block the street from the corner of Forrest & Dillard to the corner of Forrest & Fussell streets from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to set up games & activities for the kids inside the barricaded area.

 

Great Arkansas Clean-Up

Registration is officially open for the Great Arkansas Cleanup, the state’s largest fall volunteer beautification and eco-restoration initiative, taking place through October 31. The annual campaign unites volunteers across all 75 counties to clear litter and restore local parks, roadways, and waterways. MRSP and the Great Arkansas Clean-Up

Mississippi River State Park is calling on community members to take part in the upcoming Great Arkansas Cleanup weekend in partnership with Keep Arkansas Beautiful. Volunteers are invited to drop by the visitor center to pick up supplies, claim a free T-shirt while supplies last, and receive a location assignment—or choose their own preferred spot and time—to help clear trash from local roadways, shorelines, and trails. Hallelujah Night Celebration

The New Rising Sun Missionary Baptist Church, led by Pastor Ray A. Peals Jr., will host its annual "Hallelujah Night" community celebration on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 1938 W. Broadway. Organized by event chairperson Sister Annette Bradley under the theme "A Safe Place for Kids to Shine," the faith-filled evening offers local families a safe Halloween alternative featuring games, candy, food, Bible activities, costume fun, and Christian fellowship.

The SFC Elves, Inc. 2026 Toy Project is officially underway, seeking community support to ensure local children in the Forrest City and St. Francis County area receive gifts this Christmas. Last year, the locally operated initiative provided toys to over 500 children in need, and organizers are appealing to residents once again as the holiday season approaches. Clean, working-condition used toys, new toys, and monetary contributions are all welcomed and can be dropped off at several local drop sites, including Southern Furniture, Brad J Beavers, PLLC, the St. Francis County Museum, the Forrest City Public Library, First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas (North Washington Branch), and the Forrest City Chamber of Commerce. Events by Jen is hosting a "Pilates, Pumpkins & Lattes" event on November 8th at Chloes Place, located at 1211 North Washington in Forrest City. The festive gathering features a one-hour Pilates class with all equipment provided, along with lattes, light snacks, and a complimentary goodie bag. Church Food Pantry

Endtime Harvest True Holiness Church will host a community food pantry distribution on Monday, November 9th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at its facility located at 1013 Hwy 306 West. Led by Pastor Melvin Isom Jr., Overseer Apostle Melvin Isom Sr., First Lady Mateshia Isom, and Elect Lady Denise Isom, the equal opportunity distribution aims to serve, support, and strengthen the local community. Organizers note that identification is required for all household members attending the event.

 

FCLT Dinner Theater

The Forrest City Little Theatre will host an interactive dinner theater production of Nicole Zimmerer’s hilarious murder mystery, Cosmo St. Charles Is Dead and Someone in This Room Killed Him, on November 13 and 14, at the United Methodist Activities Center (101 Izard St., Forrest City). Audience members will join in a choose-your-own-adventure investigation. The evening includes a full meal catered by Biggz Barnyard BBQ featuring slow-smoked beef brisket, smoked wings, potato salad, southern-style green beans, mac and cheese, rolls, peach cobbler, tea, and lemonade. UWF Chicken and Dressing

The United Women in Faith at First United Methodist Church are taking pre-orders for their upcoming annual Chicken & Dressing meal pickup. The meals are available in small pans for $15.00 (serving 4–6) and large pans for $25.00 (serving 8–10). All pre-ordered pans will be available for pickup on November 20th at UMAC.

The Roebuck Project Blessing Box and the Church of God are partnering to host a Community Give-A-Way on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will take place at the Church of God, located at 201 N. Division Street in Forrest City, offering free food and clothing to local residents in need. Community members are encouraged to attend and take advantage of the support provided through this local initiative.

 

Youth Talent Hunt Show

The local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is inviting high school students in grades 9–12 to showcase their skills at its upcoming Talent Hunt competition on Saturday, November 21, at the Forrest City Civic Center. Participating students will have the opportunity to perform and compete for cash prizes.
